Willow slumped back down in her hair. "God, i'm tired. does anyone else want to just not move?" She pulled a blank sheet pf parchment. "We have that stupid Charms essay due tomorrow, and i haven't even started." She scrawled the title on the top of the page and stood up. "Charms section..." She looked around and spotted it. She squeezed between the tight shelves and spotted a shiny new book on Levitation, which was the topic she had chosen for her essay. Pulling it off the shelf, she flipped the book open and was scanning the table of contents as she walked back to the table. "Did you know there are about a hundred different kinds of levitation?" She asked her friends-and Justin-when she sat down. "Hovering, flight...what's the difference?" She grabbed her quill and began her introduction.
Willow worked quietly until she was finished her first paragraph. "All done!" she announced, earning herself another shush from the librarian. She rolled up her essay and shoved it off to the side, and grabbed a new piece. She ran her horizontally, creating a smooth curve. She bent it around at one end, and kept drawing until she had the outline of a badger. She leaned closer to do the details of the face and paws, and then she would add the colour. Willow dipped her quill back into her ink bottle with such enthusiasm that she upended the thing over her Charms paragraph."Bugger!" She cried. The librarian's ears perked up and when she saw who made the noise, she began to march over to their table again. "Bugger." Willow said quietly.
Alexis smiled again at Ivan's words. "It does stink a bit here," she agreed, and she looked pointedly towards the Ferox table. "It usually doesn't when I come by myself." She led him to another aisle, but it was a darker and empty aisle with no one else in sight. Alexis just noticed that the subjects here wouldn't be stocked with the books needed for her Dark Arts essay, but rather, it was about the new and glorious new Wizarding World; so all of these books were still rather new. She took a random book down without thinking and flipped over it. By what she saw in the few seconds, most of the information already contradicted with the forbidden book hiddn in her bag. kShe would have to check this book out to study later. "Hmm," she murmured, distracted. She turned her attention to Ivan. "So, tell me about yourself. Do you like to come here often?" Alexis would be pleased to know that there was another book-loving Settivo around here, but she didn't really mind if he didn't. "Or are you one of those jocks who just spend their days around the Quidditch pitch?" she teased.
A smile pressed against his lips as she agreed with his comment about the Ferox's stinking up the library with their big mouths and the need to stick their noses where it doesn't belong. Wandering down the aisle, the light that was in the library slowly disappeared. It always was a lot darker in the bookshelves. He sometimes liked to shock the 1st years when they first visited. Hiding in the shadows and popping out. It gave him and his mates a good laugh, and the first year a rather big fright. Squinting his eyes he tried to see the titles on the spines of the books. It didn't seem like the titles fit the arrangements. Raising his eyebrow at the books, he tapped on the spine of the cover. Although it was the wrong aisle, two things made it alright. The fact they were away for the Ferox posse and he was with an extremely pretty girl. It was going to be a good day after all.
Ivan's attention turned away from the book titles when Alexis started to speak. He looked back at her as she started to question him. Asking him about his social life, basically. Whether he was a 'Nerd' or a 'Jock'. Shrugging a little, he leaned on the bookshelf. "I'm a library man. Sports are okay, but heck.." Taking a pause he ran his hair threw his spazzy hair do before continuing. "But, I'm more of a musician" His lips curled into his crooked, cheeky grin. Ivan's eyebrow quirked up a little. "What about you? Do you come here often?"
"Great! You might even lose a couple of pounds, since corpses don't eat." Tally rolled her eyes. Didn't Tegan tryand use the same insult on her? Well that proved it, Settivo's had nothing on their mind other than looks and boys -and sucking up to Cullen. The heck? Calling her fat, just because she was the size a normal person is supposed to be? She waved a hand dismissively, directing her attention back to Willow and Justin. Tally leaned back in her chair, arms behind her head. From that position, she looked almost half asleep. "Gods no, don't make me move. I never get to stay in the Library with freinds. I'm always in here alone," she poked out her bottom lip, quivering and making puppy faces at the two.
"Ugh, you know I don't read schoolbooks, Willow," speaking of School, she had to finish the same essay. Pulling out her own (The one she'd scribbled on earlier) she tapped a finger on Willow's essay. "Can I copy this? Mine kind of..." she pointed to the scribble and the ink mess, grinning.
Skya shook her head as Ivan and Alexis left the aisle. Typical for a Settivo to run away from a fight. She returned to reading her book when a timid first year came up and cautiously tapped her shoulder. Skya had been so engrossed in reading her book that she jumped when the first year came in contact with her. She whirled around with her eyes widened. "What is it, twerp?" she asked, angrily, to the first year Amicus who was pretty scared at Skya's reaction. "Um, you're Skya Feathers?" he said, nervously. Skya sighed. First years could be so dumb. With her reputation of trouble-making in the school, who didn't know who she was? She glared at the boy. "No,"she said. "Skya isn't my real name. I'm just breaking it in for a friend!" She laughed inside at her joke. She narrowed her eyes at the first year who was looking rather puzzled and confused. She sighed deeply. "Ok...yeah I'm Skya," she said, slowly as if talking to a three year old. She didn't give a second thought if the child was emotionally challenged, and she continued. [b]"What brings you hear, midget?" The first year looked slightly annoyed at Skya, talking to him as if she was dumb but didn't say anything as he had obviously heard how violent Skya could be when anyone provoked her. "Um....it's your cat Lucifer....he got into the one of the greenhouses and smashed a panel of glass....." Skya stood up, knocking her chair over in the process. "WHAT?!" she exclaimed loudly. The librarian growled at her and Skya threw her a contemptous glare. She marched out of the library, shoving the first year out of her way. Wait till she got her hands on that darn cat.....
"Go ahead." Willow said, shoving her half done essay across the table. She heard a shriek from Skya and looked up. "What's wrong?" she said. She heard the word 'Lucifer'. "Oh no!" she clapped a hand to her forehead, and realized something. She had left her dormitory door open. Sebastian could be anywhere! "Cats!" she shouted. "I bet they're together! cats!" It was at that moment that the librarian marched over and grabbed Willow by the arm. "That's it! you're out!""Fine!" Willow said. "I have to go anyway! Come on, Skya!" she began to shove her drawings back in her bag. "we need to find them!"
Willow re-entered the library and sat down heavily. The whole Tally-Justin thing made her head spin. She pulled out her Charms essay and set to work. She scribbled so fast that her writing began to slant upward and become illegible. She paused for a moment and slowed down to make her writing more readable. "Does anyone else hate homework?" she burst out, even though she was alone at her table.
Justin was behind Willow when she said that and said, "Yup. Especially Transfiguration.....I'm hopeless." He sat down at the table which was next to hers. He pulled out his books not really expecting to make further conversation with Willow, whom he knew didn't really like him. Justin didn't really care. Feroxes! Tally was OK though and Skya was OK. Something about Willow, though, made Justin feel unwanted whenever he was around her. He also thought he could sense jealousy coming from her because of him and Tallulah's friendship.
Alexis observed Igor with a little smile as he was examining the books. Apparantly, he had a fondness for books as well. It was a pity that the Death Eaters were destroying any books that went past a few years ago that they could get their hands on. She thought with even more of a pang that her aunt and uncle were involved with the Death Eaters as well. "Mmm, really?" she gushed, "I do play Quidditch once in a while, but the library is somewhere special... to get away from all those parties and socializing. And..." she lowered her voice, even though she and Igor were the only ones around here. But there could be spies anywhere. "I sometimes sneak into the Restricted Section. Did you know that there's some extremely interesting books in there? When I go there, I often read them. If I stole it, the librarian could always trace it back to me somehow. Way too risky. Have you ever been in there before?" Alexis looked hopeful. If he didn't, she hoped they could go on a midnight adventure together; he didn't look like anything like those clumsy Feroxes that might screw missions up. "The exhileration of sneaking around the school is fantastic... the heart racing to get away in time and not get caught." she moved closer to Igor. "It's like an addictive to me."
